Terms of Service & Liability Waiver

1. We are only a meeting place. I Am Worth (powered by VOD) is a neutral platform that connects buyers with sellers/workers and employers with job seekers. We do not perform, supervise, direct, manage, or guarantee any service, job, or transaction listed on the platform. We are not a party to any agreement between users.

2. You are an independent party — not our employee. Every user acts entirely on their own behalf as an independent individual or business. Nothing on this platform creates an employment, agency, partnership, joint-venture, or franchise relationship between you and I Am Worth. You control how, when, and whether you work, buy, sell, or trade.

3. Taxes and 1099s are your responsibility. Each user is solely responsible for reporting and paying their own taxes on any money earned, spent, or traded through the platform, and for issuing or filing any required tax forms (including 1099s) themselves. I Am Worth does not withhold taxes, does not act as your employer or payroll provider, and does not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice.

4. Licenses, permits & insurance are your responsibility. You must hold, at your own cost, every license, permit, certification, registration, and insurance policy required by law for the work you offer or perform. You represent that you are legally allowed to provide your services or employment. I Am Worth does not verify, and is not responsible for, your qualifications or compliance.

5. You transact at your own risk. All arrangements — pricing, scheduling, scope, materials, safety, and payment — are strictly between the users involved. You are responsible for vetting the people you deal with. Assess safety and suitability before meeting, hiring, or working.

6. No liability for disputes, damages or injuries. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I Am Worth is not liable for any disputes, damages, injuries, deaths, losses, theft, property damage, mistakes, or misconduct arising from any service, job, or interaction made possible through the platform. You use the platform and meet other users at your own risk.

7. "Verified" badge is identity only — not an endorsement. When a user completes identity verification through our third-party provider (e.g. Stripe Identity), a "Verified" badge may appear. This confirms only that a government ID and selfie were checked by that provider. It is not a background check, license check, endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of quality, safety, honesty, or fitness for any task by I Am Worth.

8. Driving gigs ("I Can Drive"). Any accidents, damage, tickets, or incidents during a driving gig are strictly between the buyer and the seller, not the platform. Sellers must disclose whether they use their own vehicle or the buyer's. Valid driver's licenses, registration, and insurance are the users' responsibility.

9. Same-day / urgent labor & subcontracting. Urgent labor and contractor/subcontractor arrangements carry additional risk. No-shows, safety, workmanship, warranties, lien waivers, and compliance with building codes and labor laws are the responsibility of the parties involved. Escrow and milestone tools are payment-holding conveniences only and do not make us a party to the work.

10. Payments. Payments are processed by third-party providers (e.g. Stripe). Platform fees and markups are disclosed at the time of a transaction. You are responsible for any chargebacks, refunds, or payment disputes with the other party.

11. Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless I Am Worth and VOD, and their operators, from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the platform, your work or purchases, or your breach of these terms or of any law.

12. Acceptance. By checking the acceptance box you agree to these terms, confirm you are an independent party responsible for your own taxes, 1099s, licenses, and insurance, and acknowledge that we store a timestamped record of your acceptance.
